Safety & Handling

General Guidelines

All products offered by Helixera Labs are strictly for laboratory research use only. They should be handled exclusively by individuals trained in proper laboratory practices and familiar with standard safety protocols for research chemicals and biomolecules.

Appropriate precautions must always be taken when working with research compounds to protect personnel, maintain material integrity, and ensure experimental reproducibility.

Handling Practices

We recommend the following safe handling procedures:

  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including laboratory gloves, eye protection (safety goggles or face shield), and lab coats as needed.
  • Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes, mucous membranes, or clothing.
  • Work in a well-ventilated or controlled laboratory environment to minimize the risk of contamination or unintended exposure.
  • Keep materials in their original containers and seal them tightly immediately after use.
  • Use dedicated tools (such as spatulas, pipettes, or syringes) for measuring or transferring compounds to prevent cross-contamination.

Educational Note: Research peptides and small molecules can be sensitive to environmental factors. Proper handling reduces degradation and helps ensure consistent results across experiments.

Storage

Maintaining correct storage conditions is essential for preserving the purity, stability, and activity of research compounds.

General Recommendations:

  • Store in a cool, dry environment (refrigeration or freezing is often preferred for long-term stability of peptides).
  • Protect from excessive heat, direct light, and moisture — many compounds are susceptible to hydrolysis, oxidation, or photodegradation.
  • Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use to limit exposure to air and humidity.
  • Label all storage containers clearly with batch/lot numbers and dates.

Specific storage requirements may vary by compound and format (lyophilized powder, capsules, nasal sprays, etc.). Refer to the product-specific documentation or Certificate of Analysis (COA) for detailed instructions.

Practical Tip: Lyophilized peptides are generally more stable than reconstituted solutions. Once reconstituted, solutions should typically be stored refrigerated and used within a short timeframe to minimize breakdown.

Transportation & Receipt

Upon receiving your order:

  • Carefully inspect the packaging for any signs of damage or tampering.
  • Verify that all contents are intact and containers are properly sealed.
  • Transfer materials to appropriate storage conditions as soon as possible.

If you notice any issues (such as damaged seals, compromised packaging, or missing items), please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can assist promptly.

Disposal

Disposal of research materials must be performed in full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This may include requirements for hazardous waste handling, incineration, or licensed chemical disposal services.

Do not dispose of research compounds in standard household waste, drains, or regular trash unless explicitly permitted by local guidelines. Improper disposal can pose environmental and regulatory risks.

Responsibility

Customers are fully responsible for:

  • Ensuring proper handling, storage, and use of all materials in accordance with laboratory safety standards.
  • Understanding and complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing research chemicals.
  • Implementing appropriate safety procedures in their own laboratory environment.

Helixera Labs provides general guidance on handling and storage but does not offer advice on specific research applications, experimental protocols, or in vivo use.
